Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo

#BHBE 2015 comes to an end

The inaugural 2015 Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo staged at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition has closed and we hope you had a great couple of days in the thick of all things beauty and wellbeing.

The team at Spectrum Science & Beauty we on hand with lots of customers and meeting some great industry professionals. We hope you all had a sensational learning experience.

We had a lot of questions about our Spectrum Explore; Fractional RF with needling hand-piece.  It really is very popular, because of it’s ease-of-use AND the fantastic results on acne-scarring and age management.

We look forward to seeing all the local QLD beauty experts again next year.

Well done #BHBE

Salon Melbourne 1-2 March 2015

Looking forward to seeing the outstanding beauty professionals at the upcoming Salon Melbourne Expo. Based on recent enquiries, we are expecting many questions on our tattoo removal technology – Spectrum QS – and the RF needling device, Explore.

We know that tattoo removal demand has soared in the past year, with a huge increase in revenue from tattoo removal of more than 400% up on the previous 12 months. This includes partial removal prior to re-inking, fading of part of an existing tattoos  and complete removal treatments.

And the trend in cosmetic needling is another exception area of interest with treatment of in-salon and at-home collagen induction therapy [CIT], skin needling and micro-needling on the increase.  Spectrum launch their EXPLORE device in 2014 which immediately  attracted interest from the Beauty and Dermal Therapy community. The option for traditional RF treatment for skin rejuvenation has been paired with Micro-needling with RF; recommended for skin tightening, acne scarring, stretch-marks and many other indications.

So if you’re planning on attending Salon Melbourne, we would love to see you at our stand.

For nine consecutive years the National Laser and Cosmetic Medicine Conference (LCMC) has been providing medical professionals and cosmetic technicians with the knowledge and skills to assist them in keeping up to date with this rapidly expanding area of medicine.

The 10th LCMC Conference was held in Melbourne from 15-16 November at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, and present an outstanding program featuring plenary sessions, demonstrations, concurrent streams and workshops. The team rom Spectrum Science & BEauty were very excited to attend for the first time.

Cosmoprof HK – November 2014 review

From our Managing Director:

There were hundreds of companies from all over the world attending and show casing their equipment at Cosmoprof between 11-13 November 2015. This included leading European, American and Asian companies with specialised expertise and products in their respected domains.

I enjoyed the opportunity to discuss technology, the latest trends in the market, working on solutions to improve our equipment as well as working with experts on treatment techniques to improve clinical effectiveness. During Cosmoprof I received invitations from leaders in the industry to visit them in Europe to further review new technology and research from experts. I will be visiting them in March with

On the beauty side

Fractional RF (radio frequency) equipment was a major trend with huge consumer demand expected going forward. The key takeaway on this device is that there is a big difference between the range of equipment available and it was confirmed that the most effective machines offer both non-invasive as well as invasive treatments (because a combination of the two produce the most effective results).

Additionally that for optimal safety and clinical effectiveness that machine treatment tips have 49 gold plated pins. It was nice to confirm our Dana Explore could be compared favourably to the best machines in this area.

On the medical side

We saw some very interesting new equipment including vaginal rejuvenation machines. This was timely for Spectrum because we have been working with our partners on developing a leading machine for these treatments, which is just about to be released to market in Australia.

Ongoing demand in Body

Body contouring and slimming equipment was again a huge trend. There was a vast number of different technologies in this area from radio frequency, laser lipolysis, fat cavitation, pulsed magnetic fields, cryolipolysis to name a few. We spent an extensive amount of time reviewing and discussing these devices because it is a treatment area we have been researching, reviewing and developing over the last couple of years so that we can bring a machine to market. This will be a key focus of my trip to Europe in March so watch this space for a innovative machine with leading technology that works.
